That’s it. I look forward to taking part in the commemoration of one my all time heroes – Cesar Chavez. As we march tomorrow, I will draw strength from the remembrance of his words and deeds. As we struggle to bring people centered priorities back to our City Council, I feel especially inspired by his observation that“Once social change begins, it cannot be reversed. You cannot uneducate the person who has learned to read. You cannot humiliate the person who feels pride. You cannot oppress the people that are not afraid anymore. We have seen the future, and the future is ours.”

See you all tomorrow!
