Students Support Strike by Faculty

Sacramento State students, joined by student representatives from other CSU campuses, will rally and march to show solidarity with faculty in the fight for a 5% raise. Students are tying their own fight against tuition increases to their teachers’ struggle, and calling out CSU Chancellor Timothy White for prioritizing administrators’ salaries over students and teachers.
At 11:30am on Monday, March 28, Students for Quality Education will hold a rally and march to demonstrate to the CSU administration that students will stand with faculty if they are forced to strike, because faculty working conditions are student learning conditions. This will come 2 hours after the California Faculty Association addresses the findings of the neutral factfinder’s report, which is the final bargaining step before faculty in the CSU have the legal right to strike.
Students from Sacramento State and other CSU campuses will speak to a crowd of students about the upcoming faculty strike as well as the proposed CSU Sustainability Plan that would look to increase tuition in the 2017-2018 school year.
RALLY: Monday, March 28 at 11:30am PST

Sanders Wins Michigan

The results are in and we were just declared the winner in a very important state for our campaign: Michigan. That’s a major, game-changing victory for our campaign.
The corporate media counted us out. The pollsters said we were way behind. The Clinton super PACs spent millions against us across the country. We were hit with a dishonest attack in the debate. But we won, again… and if we continue to stand together, we can win this nomination.
One week from today, five large and delegate-rich states vote. Time and time again, your support has enabled us to overcome large deficits and emerge victorious. But you can expect the political establishment to come after us even harder now. The super PACs are going to spend even more. We have to be prepared to fight back.
